A key aspect of  the London & SE BIM Regions BIM Series is to engage the learner by encouraging participation both before and after the event itself.

This is the fourth post-event scenario; you are to consider the question below and then participate in the Twitter Storm tonight between 7pm and 8pm using #beginBIM.

Your organisation is looking to implement BIM and would like guidance on what BIM software to adopt. What advice would you give?

You should consider:

  • What factors should you consider when selecting BIM software?
  • What is Common Data Environment?
  • How does validation support the BIM process?
  • Why is COBie important?
  • Which software will you use most in relation to BIM?
  • The choice of BIM software vendors; what are the options?
  • What hardware issues might you need to consider?

PS Your feedback is invaluable; if you attended Event 4, please take a few minutes to complete our survey. Many thanks.
