Auralia and Musition are ear training and music theory software with immediate feedback. Each has two modes: Practice and Task.

Practice is ideal for general student practice. The results are not recorded to our learning management system. Here are the steps to setup Practice mode within your Blackboard site:
1. Log into your Blackboard account and go to your desired module page (course page).
2. Hover your mouse onto the Course Content area where you want to integrate Auralia Practice or Musition Practice. A purple plus icon (“+”) will appear on the page. Please click the plus sign to add content.

6.Once you launch the software, you can select which test to add to the Blackboard site from the menu on the left side of the page. Click a particular topic (e.g. Tempo), and then click “Attach” at the top right corner of the page. Then the topic will be marked as “Attached”. You can also preview the test before you add it.
7. You can close the software after you attach the test, and then go back to the Blackboard course page. Within the Course Content area, you will see “Auralia Task” which is currently not visible for students. Please click the three dot on the right side of “Auralia Task” to edit the settings.
  • You can change the name from “Auralia Task” to a particular topic such as “Tempo”.
  • You can change the availability to allow students to access the test.
  • You can create gradebook entry for the test so that students’ scores can be recorded to the learning management system. Please make sure that you modify the due date, marking method and category.
8. Please click “Save” at the bottom right of the setting page.
