Introduction:

UK Coffee Week is a national fundraising initiative celebrating the vibrancy of coffee culture in the UK and providing a valuable opportunity for coffee shops and coffee drinkers to give back to the communities which grow our coffee. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual to join our team as a University Engagement Officer. The role comes with a high level of responsibility, and will provide an excellent opportunity to develop skills and relevant experience in project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 15 student ambassadors based across the country and supporting student event planners in their fundraising efforts for UK Coffee Week.

Job Description:       

The successful candidate will

  • Communicate with universities and students to increase engagement and awareness of the programme
  • Liaise with creative designers to organise the kits for student ambassadors and event planners
  • Support the recruitment process for the student ambassadors
  • Support the induction programme for student ambassadors
  • Manage a team of 15 student ambassadors based across the UK
  • Support student event planners in their fundraising efforts for UK Coffee Week

Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Either completed or be enrolled in a Bachelors degree in a relevant subject area
  • Previous involvement in a society or a charity
  • Solid understanding of Facebook groups
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Passionate about working for a charitable cause
