Marie Curie is looking for a bright intern to join the Legal Team. They have two different positions currently available.

In the legal team, they help to make sure that Marie Curie complies with legal and regulatory requirements and  provide advice and assistance on a wide range of legal matters. Their work covers corporate governance, company secretariat, contracting, charity and fundraising regulation, employment matters, intellectual property, risk management & compliance and insurance.

They are a small friendly team of pragmatic lawyers and legal professionals. Their aim is to get the balance right between effectively managing risk whilst also enabling their strategic objectives. They are looking for a friendly, pro-active individuals who can provide essential support to: the Legal Team and to the Policy & Compliance Manager (Fundraising & Compliance). The successful intern will gain insight into the workings of a busy Legal department. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your skills and be part of a flexible and rewarding internship programme.

Legal Intern:

Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks:

  • Provide support to the Legal Team in day to day administrative duties
  • Support the team with organising contracts/agreements etc.
  • Organise ad-hoc meetings for Legal Team staff including booking rooms, setting up, organising catering
  • Assist with meeting support when necessary including booking rooms, setting up, organising catering etc
  • Help with other related tasks when necessary

Legal Team Intern (Fundraising & Compliance):

Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks:

  •  • Research and support with preparation and production of training materials
  •  • Research and support with internal policy documentation
  •  • Liaising with individuals and teams in other departments across the charity
  •  • Proof reading and support in day to day administrative duties
  •  • Help with other related tasks when necessary.
