Welcome to our Employability Events listing for November! 

We know that Employability Month is ending this week but we still have lots of exciting events including workshops, networking opportunities and guest speakers coming up between now and the end of semester! 

 

Why?

Meet alumni, get involved with live brief and problem solving challenges and develop employability and transferable skills with university wide events as well as specialist events linked to your department or faculty.

Week 1: Mon 12th to Friday 16th 

Westminster Abroad International Week ➡ Mon 12th Nov – 12pm, 15th Nov 5pm, Central London Campuses

We are lucky to have such an international community of students, a celebration of this is a must!

Gaining hands-on experience in global mental health with SLV.GlobalTue 13th Nov: 2-2.30pm, Marylebone Campus

This would be a fantastic opportunity as a student, especially if you have an interest in or study Psychology.

SLV.Global is a mental health organisation providing degree-specific volunteer placements in Sri Lanka and Bali, Indonesia. Their placements offer participants the chance to gain psychology-focused work experience in a multitude of professional environments from classrooms to a psychiatric facility.

Legal Skills Academy – Trainee Solicitors’ Panel ➡ Thu 29th Nov: 6-8.30pm, Regent Street Campus

Come and hear trainees speak about their journey and give tips on how to structure your application and stand out in interviews. The discussion is for you to ask trainees anything you need to help you with your training contract applications!

 

Week 4: Mon 3rd Dec to 7th Dec

Legal Skills Academy – Speed Mentoring Workshop ➡ Thu 6th Dec: 6-8:30pm, Little Titchfield Street Campus

Not sure what you can do after graduation? Or perhaps as a first or second year student you need some advice on getting work experience? This workshop will be led by legal professionals and their advice to law students about the challenges they may face in entering the industry.
