The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon returns to Hyde Park on Sunday 10 October 2010. Each year the event raises over £2.5m for vital causes around the UK, including The Royal Parks Foundation, the charity which helps protect and enhance the green spaces of London. The race also raises funds for over 160 partner charities, including Asthma UK, Help A London Child, Mind, Right To Play and UNICEF.
Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the 13.1 mile route runs across four of London’s stunning Royal Parks – Hyde Park, St. James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park. Runners will also take in some of the capital’s most historic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Albert Memorial.
We are looking for a group of 30 dynamic and enthusiastic volunteers to help us on race day doing a variety of tasks from handing out water, to giving out medals and supporting runners along the course.
Volunteers are needed from 8am until approximately 3pm and breakfast and/or Lunch will be provided and all volunteers will also be given a t-shirt.
If you and a group of friends would like to volunteer on the day please contact Holly Challenger firstname.lastname@example.org
