On Friday 26th May 2017, there will be news reports, activities nationwide, and ways for everyone to get involved to show their support on Face Equality Day.
This is the first time we’ve had a Face Equality Day in the UK, and ‘Changing Faces’ created the day to enable us to increase awareness of Face Equality, the campaign to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and equally whatever the appearance of their face or body.
The Communication and Media Research Institute at the University of Westminster in partnership with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team will be hosting various events, including an art exhibition and workshop at Harrow Campus.
The event is part of the research project ‘Facial Disfigurement in the UK Media: From Print to Online’ co-led by Dr Jacob Johanssen and Dr Diana Garrisi.
If you would like to get involved and support this initiative please contact Andrea Montalvo at A.Montalvo@westminster.ac.uk
