During Go Green Week we celebrate all things green and encourage all our staff and students to make small changes in their daily lives which make a big difference to the natural environment. The Environmental Sustainability team will be stationed across all our campuses throughout the week so drop by, say hi, and learn a little something about our work and what you can do to help! Here’s where to find us:

12-2pm Harrow refectory. Meat Free Monday

Drop by our stall and learn how and why to reduce your meat consumption. While you’re here you can grab some free grub and sample the future of food with some cricket-based energy bars!

12-2pm Little Titchfield Street. Energy and waste quiz – win prizes!

Find out what we are doing to save energy and water, and what you can do to help. Take part in our quiz and win prizes for your sustainability know-how.

10-12am New Cavendish reception. Fairtrade pancake day breakfast

Start the day right with some (free!) Fairtrade banana pancakes and learn about Fairtrade while you eat.

12.45-1.30pm New Cavendish (outside campus). Santander Bike Tour

Meet us outside the main campus entrance at 12:45 for a free bike tour on Santander bikes.

1-3pm Harrow Halls reception. Everything you ever wanted to know about recycling, but were afraid to ask.

We’ll be here with a rep from Bywaters, our waste contractor, to answer all your questions and test your knowledge about what happens to your waste and what you can do about it.

3-4pm Harrow Forum garden. Food growing drop-in

We’ll be waking up the Harrow growing space for spring so come get your hands dirty and learn about how to get involved to grow your own veg.

6-8pm Harrow Auditorium. Film Society screening of This Changes Everything

The Film Society have joined forces with us to bring you Naomi Klein’s radical documentary on climate change and the future of capitalism.

11-1pm Chiswick Pavillion. Thames tidy-up beach clean.

Your Valentine’s Day gift to the Thames with romantic free lunch provided. Register at sustainability@westminster.ac.uk as spaces are limited.

1.30 – 4pm SU Pop-Up Space, The Street, Harrow. Fruity Booty food co-op launch

Join student-run social enterprise Fruity Booty for the launch of their new food coop and get yourself some ethically sourced veggies without the usual organic supermarket markup.

9.30 – 11.30am Marylebone Learning Platform. Smoothie bike

We’re wheeling out our smoothie bike so you can blitz yourself a healthy breakfast with our pedal-powered blender.

9-12 Marylebone. Dr. Bike

Get your bike ready for the warmer weather with a nifty anti-theft device and a quick spruce by a qualified engineer.
