Open to all UK HE students, Central London Assessment Services (CLASS) is London’s largest and most experienced Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) assessment centre. As an organisation we have been supporting students with disabilities since 1986, and have carried out higher education DSA assessments for well over 20 years.

Our team of 12 assessors provide more than 2,000 assessments of need each year, across all areas of disability. These include specific learning difficulties, physical disability, mental health, and visual and hearing impairment. Many of our assessors come to CLASS with a background in disability support, ranging from physiotherapy to counselling, RNIB training and dyslexia tuition. When you book an appointment with CLASS, you will be assigned to an assessor with experience of your particular needs.

Our central London offices include four individually air-conditioned assessment rooms equipped with the latest assistive technology and ergonomic furniture. In addition, we offer assessments at our fully equipped outreach centres on our Harrow campus and at our Chiswick Sports Ground. We test all equipment, so anything we recommend has been evaluated by us first. And the assessment process is not a ‘one-off’ experience – we offer you support throughout your educational path, as your needs change.

Whether you need to book an appointment, track the progress of a report, or learn more about the DSA, CLASS’s admin team is on call from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. If we don’t have the answer, we’ll try to find somebody who does!
