In order to find out your opinion about the depth of the new tables, we are questioning whether we should keep the tables as they are (600 mm), reduce them to 500 mm or to 400 mm. We need your help as we are trying to find the best solution in order to save space in the class room and also give enough space to students so they can have all the needed books or tablets placed on the table during the lectures.

  1. Best option for tests as tables not so easy to move around and has just about enough room for all the tables of formula needed for a maths test.

  2. In practice this depends on the size and shape of the rooms to be used. In WBS, many class rooms are only just big enough for groups of 25. In this situation a table depth of 500 or even 400 would be quite a plus as it would free up space.

  3. I’m in favour of keeping the depth of desks to 400mm.

The Steelcase Verb collection has some nice design solutions.
