Dance4MeTV is an award winning new webseries created by our 3rd years Rebecca Graham and Emilie Dubois.

The scope of the webseries is to blur the line between reality TV and scripted drama while following eight dancers, their rehearsals and live performances.

Drama unfolds, tension rises and love triangles are formed while they struggle to reach their goal as recognised dancers.

CMP students win Blast Theory mentoring

CMP final year students Liat Wassershtrom, Valeria Di Guardo, Jose Passarelli and Helena Vieira have successfully applied for the artists’ mentoring scheme run by celebrated artists’ group Blast Theory.

Blast Theory is “renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artists’ groups using interactive media, creating groundbreaking new forms of performance and interactive art that mixes audiences across the internet, live performance and digital broadcasting.”

CMP students and graduates working at the Olympics

Numerous CMP students were recruited to work as trainees for the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), the official producer of broadcast content for the Olympics.

This gave them tremendous opportunities for paid internships to work in various roles across the event, including technical crews, production offices and the crucial runner roles that make the industry function (and are fantastic for networking).

The first TEDx UWestminster event is planned for Monday 11th June in the Regent Street Old Cinema.

“The theme of the TEDx event is ‘Futures Reinvented’, where we will be bringing together the 3 diverse areas of Innovation, Enterprise, and Philanthropy.”

This event is the work of a group of Westminster students, led by CMP final year Iannish Posooa and assisted by several other CMP students.

Two CMP graduates will also be presenters at the event, Emilie Giles of MzTEK and Holly Clarke of Unruly Media.

It is an independently organised event connected with the famed TED Talks series.

A team led by CMP 3rd year students Iannish Posooa and Paule Petrokaite have won a BBC competition to produce a short promotional video for the BBC 75 years anniversary.

They won this against teams from our two fellow moving image courses at Westminster, BA Film & Television Production and BA Television Production.

The brief was to produce a 1 minute TV trailer for a 15-25 audience age group, celebrating the 75 years of the BBC, and using BBC archive clips from that history.
