The new MuSIC centre led by Professor Rob Toulson is made up of academic professionals from Commercial Music BA, Audio Production MA, Music Business Management MA and the MusicTank.

The research group specialises in music performance, production, composition, music business, technology and sound design for film and interactive media. It will work to bring together more exciting activities and events in the fields of music, sound and audio at University of Westminster.

MuSIC will host its first two-day event titled In Music Conference from 6-8 September 2017. The event will be held at the University of Westminster Regent Street campus and will feature award-winning artists such as Imogen Heap and Talvin Singh, Grammy Award winning Mastering Engineer Mandy Parnell (Bjork, Aphex Twin, Annie Lennox), David Bowie’s long-time producer Ken Scott and leading forensic musicologist Peter Oxendale and a keynote lecture by iZotope’s Chief of Technology Jonathan Bailey.
