Ten undergraduate and postgraduate students were given the chance to play their tracks and spend time getting to know Naughty Boy in the District 9 music studios at Westminster’s Harrow campus.
After careful consideration the search was narrowed down to three students who will each visit Ealing Film Studios next week for their next interview / audition with Naughty Boy.
Naughty Boy is an English DJ, record producer, songwriter and musician. He has produced two top-ten records for UK rappers Chipmunk and Wiley, both featuring Emeli Sandé. He has worked on records for Leona Lewis, JLS, Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Hudson, Alesha Dixon and Tinie Tempah, Zayn Malik, Sam Smith, and Beyoncé.
Principal Lecturer in Music and Law Kienda Hoji said: “For us to be the only university approached by Naughty Boy just shows the quality of students that we have here.”
The University of Westminster has a global reputation and partnerships with leading popular artists and music centres around the world.
