Welcome to the 2017 Skills Academy! Monday 22nd May to Monday 5th June

Are you looking for opportunities (graduate, internships, part time) and trying to establish your career path? Do you want to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge and gain useful practical advice and information from experts in preparation for a competitive jobs market?

A series of forty seminars and workshops have been arranged by the Career Development Centre and will be delivered by industry professionals, employers and expert speakers investing their time to help you stand out from the crowd. Come along and network, enhance your employability and learn how to make the most of your skills and experience in an increasingly competitive jobs market.

You can select any session(s) including: A day with Goldman Sachs featuring CVs, Interviews and Commercial Awareness; Networking, Public Speaking, Assessment Centres, Psychometric Online Testing, Self-Awareness, Mindfulness, Job Hunting with Social Media, Entrepreneurship careers panel, Social Sector careers panel, Leadership, Negotiation, Accessing Hidden Jobs, Video CVs and Interviews and much, much more.

This year’s featured employers include: Goldman Sachs, CIMA, IBM, Teach First, Brightsparks, The Civil Service, Greggs Plc, The Thinking Revolution, Production Base, Hey Tempo, Shaylor Group, Evolve Integral Ltd, Careercake, The Stephen Lawrence Trust and Aptitude Digital Solutions plus more.  Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance per session.
