What Can I Do With My Degree!?

English Literature and Language Alumni Panel

Struggling to know what you want to do/what you can do with a degree in English Literature/ Language? Or do you have an idea but but don’t know how to get started?

Join us on Tuesday 21 March at 13:00 for tea, cake and the chance to hear from three Westminster graduates who have been where you are now. Find out about their current careers, how they worked out what they wanted to do after graduation and ask for their employability advice and tips.


 Anna Beecher 

(English Literature with Creative Writing, 2012)

Poet, Writer and Performance Maker, FAT CONTENT Theatre Company

Anna Beecher is a writer, performance maker and multi award-winning poet. Her plays include Skin Of The Teeth (which premièred at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 before being performed at The Vaults festival), The Surplus, commissioned by Young Vic Taking Part and Living Things, created at Battersea Arts Centre. She performs regularly as a poet and storyteller with appearances including Latitude Festival, The Poetry Cafe and Glastonbury. As a facilitator, Anna has lead projects with young people, disabled children and adults, hospices, arts centres, museums and schools.

 Dilpreet Walia (English Literature with Creative Writing, 2012)

Writer and Puppeteer 

Dilpreet has recently completed a CBBC puppeteer internship, where she was working on Sesame Street and CBBC co-production called ‘The Furchester Hotel’. She is now writing for an upcoming showcase. She has a Masters in Screenwriting from The Met Film School, based at Ealing Studios and her animation-screenplay was chosen as a Quarter-finalist in the US with Screencraft’s ‘Family-friendly Script Contest’.

PR and marketing professional experienced in B2B industries, with a keen interest in digital marketing and creativity. Further industry experience includes event management and advertising.
