Flying into the future: Key issues for assessing Britain’s aviation infrastructure needs

A bigger hub airport at either Heathrow, Stansted or in the Thames Estuary is needed to meet Britain’s aviation needs, according to a new report by the Independent Transport Commission (ITC). It argues that good aviation connectivity is “crucial” for the British economy and jobs, but the country faces capacity constraints in both long-haul and short-haul travel.
