Managing cultural world heritage

UNESCO has published a guidance manual on the care of World Heritage cultural properties. The document sets out how to comply with the requirements of the World Heritage Convention and includes a set of practical appendices, for all those involved in heritage conservation and management, on how to put World Heritage philosophies and mechanisms into practice. UNESCO has also made its comprehensive database on the state of conservation of World Heritage properties publicly available. It can be searched using over 100 options giving easy access to exportable data in a number of ways, for example, geographically, chronologically or by nature of threat.
