Swedish Wood has launched the second in its RIBA CPD programme. This new Timber Cladding module is presented as three films, each relating to a RIBA Work Stage.

In the  first film, covering RIBA Work Stage 1: Core Objectives, Charles Barclay, of CBA Architects, takes viewers round his award-winning Walk Barn Farm and discusses the importance of specifying and detailing timber cladding correctly, as well as presenting a showcase of recent European cladding projects.

In the  second film, covering RIBA Work Stage 2: Concept Design and Outline Specification, industry experts explain the different cladding types and how to design, fix, coat and maintain timber cladding, as well as exploring sustainability and procurement issues and pre-painted exterior cladding.

The  third film, covering RIBA Work Stage 4: Technical Design, provides design details for external timber cladding, including technical details for installing different types of timber cladding, such as corners, cavities, structural supports and battens, as well as the relevant Standards and Regulations.

The first module,  Timber: the Building Material of the Future, Timber Cladding is also available.
