OPTICITIES (Optimise Citizen Mobility and Freight Management in Urban Environments)

The three-year OPTICITIES project is helping European cities to optimise all modes of transport, for passengers and freight, by developing innovative Intelligent Transport Systems that can share data. These systems will help cities consolidate local transport data, and make this available to third parties, while ensuring secure contractual arrangements, an open market to avoid a monopoly, and adherence to public policies on critical data. The project is also developing standards for recording and sharing multimodal mobility data, so that cities can integrate data from all transport modes, locations and timescales.
