This programme outlines the core workshops and development sessions available to support the University’s research and academic staff in the coming academic year in their professional and career development.
Designed in consultation with School Research Leads, the University’s ECR representatives and taking into account the outcomes of both the recent Readers’ and Professors’ Survey on Research Priorities and Vitae’s Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey, we hope you will use the opportunities available in this programme to build and develop the skills that you need to thrive.
Success as a University will be achieved by researchers and those supporting research working in a seamless partnership and this programme is, we hope, a step towards strengthening that partnership.
The programme is co-ordinated by the Research and Knowledge Exchange Office, with workshops delivered by professional and academic staff from across the University and beyond. We will cover topics from all across the research spectrum, including grant writing, networking, leading research teams, research ethics, data management, career planning and searching for funding.
