10 May: UCU to join national strike over pensions
The UCU NEC has voted that members based in the post-’92 universities, including Westminster, and FE colleges (i.e., all those affected by the TPS dispute) should join the planned national strike over pensions on Thursday 10 May.
UCU will be joining several unions, including the PCS, Unite members in the NHS and MoD, NIPSA and the RMT, in national action on this day over the government’s attacks on public sector pensions. The strike will involve almost half a million people.
