{"id":1278,"date":"2019-08-12T16:05:35","date_gmt":"2019-08-12T15:05:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2019-08-12T16:05:35","modified_gmt":"2019-08-12T15:05:35","slug":"join-a-westminster-employability-advisory-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/join-a-westminster-employability-advisory-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Join a Westminster Employability Advisory Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This is an exciting volunteering opportunity to become an advocate for the University through employability-focused forums.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are Employability Advisory Boards (EABs)?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Employability Advisory Boards will act as a critical friend to help shape and deliver the University\u2019s employability strategy. They will also provide all areas of the University\u2019s academic portfolio with a direct and formalised link into industry, ensuring that our offer is consistently above the expectations of our students and employers.<\/p>\n<p>By having a structured forum, employers will have input into the advancement of Westminster\u2019s employability strategy including Work Based Learning and Placements project. EABs will also provide alumni and other stakeholders a unique way to engage with the University and provide us with a professional stakeholder group to consult on an ad-hoc basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EAB structure and format<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From October, our three Colleges will launch an EAB for each of its four schools, allowing members an informal opportunity to share themes, ideas and network.<\/p>\n<p>EABs will be chaired by Heads of School and attended by respective course leaders and School Employability Director\/Coordinator where required.
