By\u00a0sharing knowledge and insights gained through the years,\u00a0you will have\u00a0the unique opportunity to receive tailored career support and guidance from an experienced professional, whatever your desired career\u00a0field is.<\/p>\n<p>Having a mentor can help you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a solid foundation of skills to launch or further your career<\/li>\n<li>Understand the professional world of the sector you have chosen or wish to enter<\/li>\n<li>Grow your professional network and build connections<\/li>\n<li>Enhance your CV, application and interview techniques<\/li>\n<li>Improve your self-confidence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Our Schemes:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To help suit your needs, we offer both long and short-term mentoring opportunities which\u00a0can take place\u00a0over the phone, in person, or even online.\u00a0Career mentoring is open to all University of Westminster students and recent graduates (of the last three years).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Career Mentoring Scheme<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We offer two intakes for\u00a0this Scheme each year and the next cycle\u00a0runs from\u00a0April \u2013 October. As a mentee on the scheme you can be matched with a mentor for a period of 6 months.\u00a0Our committed mentors can help you find your feet, ensuring you have the confidence to take your next steps to a successful future career.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/engage.westminster.ac.uk\/Form.aspx?id=597005\">Applications to join the next cycle\u00a0of\u00a0our Career Mentoring Scheme are now open and close at midnight on\u00a023 February 2020 &#8211; Apply now here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The application process involves an online form through Engage, and if successful, attending a\u00a0group interview and training session which will take place in March.<\/p>\n<p>To take part, you will need to be able to commit to a minimum of five sessions over a six month period.
