And for the fourth year running, we\u2019re taking the opportunity to spotlight our amazing alumni volunteers.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alumni Volunteering Awards are a celebration of the contribution our alumni continue to make to the Westminster community after they graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By donating their time as speakers, mentors, hosts and ambassadors, our alumni volunteers support and inspire current students and recent graduates, giving them the insight, motivation and opportunities they need to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Awards include five categories, reflecting the breadth of volunteering opportunities at Westminster and the range of ways our alumni get involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The categories are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Alumni Speaker of the Year Award<\/strong>:\u00a0For alumni who have delivered an outstanding presentation, lecture, workshop or panel discussion to students, colleagues or other alumni.<\/li><li><strong>Exceptional Support of Students and Recent Graduates Award<\/strong>:\u00a0For alumni who go above and beyond to provide professional development support to students and recent graduates, through either one-to-one or group sessions.<\/li><li><strong>Going the Extra Mile Award<\/strong>:\u00a0For alumni who have provided dedicated support across multiple initiatives or activities.<\/li><li><strong>Volunteer Partner Award<\/strong>:\u00a0For non-alumni partners who, recognising the potential of Westminster students, generously offer specialist knowledge and insights to support their development.<\/li><li><strong>Long Serving Volunteer Award<\/strong>:\u00a0For the marathon alumni volunteers who have supported Westminster for at least three years, giving their time over and over again.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1fAnd the winners are\u2026\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications were open for colleagues and academic staff at the University of Westminster to nominate the outstanding alumni volunteers they have worked with over the past year. All nominations were assessed by a judging panel at the beginning of May, and after careful consideration our winners have been chosen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/alumni-volunteering-awards-2024-alumni-speaker-of-the-year-award\/\">Alumni Speaker of the Year Award \u2013 Elena Cenedese and Janniah Evans<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/alumni-volunteering-awards-2024-exceptional-support-of-students-and-recent-graduates-award\/\">Exceptional Support of Students and Recent Graduates Award \u2013 Mark Sweeny and Tim Burgess<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/alumni-volunteering-awards-2024-going-the-extra-mile-award\/\">Going the Extra Mile Award \u2013 Momo Mousa<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/alumni-volunteering-awards-2024-volunteer-partner-award\/\">Volunteer Partner Award \u2013 Netcompany<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/alumni\/alumni-volunteering-awards-2024-long-serving-volunteer-award\/\">Long Serving Volunteer Award \u2013 Panagiotis Zmpigknief \u201cPazbi\u201d Zavatzki and Simbo Nuga<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Congratulations to our winners and a huge thank you to all of our volunteers.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Could you be our next Alumni Volunteer Award winner?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If you are interested in volunteering to support our students and recent graduates,&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.ac.uk\/about-us\/alumni-and-supporters\/get-involved\"><em>visit our webpage to see how you can get involved.<\/em><\/a><em><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s Volunteers\u2019 Week!
