Have you changed where and why you walk\u00a0during the pandemic? Do you live in Greater London? If so, a new study\u00a0into the\u00a0motivations, practices, and spaces accessed by frequent walkers would like to\u00a0hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0frequent walker is anyone whose overall walking time in public is more than an\u00a0hour on most days of the week. This might be made up of a few long walks or\u00a0several shorter walks, and the walks could be for any reason: commuting,\u00a0shopping, to access greenspaces, for leisure, for fitness.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0project &#8211; <em>Learning from Frequent Walkers: motivations, practices, and spaces<\/em> \u2013\u00a0is looking to answer questions such as who frequent walkers are, why they walk,\u00a0where they walk to, and how their walking fits in with their daily routine. With the\u00a0pandemic profoundly affecting people\u2019s lives, the researchers also want to understand\u00a0how walking habits have changed for frequent walkers, whether they became\u00a0frequent walkers during the lockdowns, and how they expect their walking to\u00a0continue\u00a0or change after lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a0you are aged over 18, live within Greater London, and would like to take\u00a0part in the study, please contact\u00a0<b><a href=\"mailto:f.bahrami@rug.nl\">f.bahrami@rug.nl<\/a><\/b>.
