Using Release Conditions gives the instructors the control on when content is available to students. This is allows better restriction on content so students engage with the module site as per the instructors lessons.\u00a0<\/p>

Release conditions can be applied to Assignment, Tests, Forms, Panopto Recordings, Documents, Journals and many more.\u00a0<\/p>

This guide will cover how to set release condition using BlackBoard functions. This is not for Turnitin.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Below the content select the drop down menu and select “Release Conditions”.\u00a0<\/p>

\"Release<\/p>

The Release Condition window will open. In this window you can create the Release Condition for your content. Here you can name the rule of your release condition. You can choose whether this content is available to all students of the module site.\u00a0<\/p>

You can also choose whether this content is available to certain students or to a group of student. These groups can be made while making the release conditions or you can choose groups that you have made before.<\/p>

\"Release Once you have chosen you the select members you can choose to either set the release condition from based on time and date, you can set the release condition based on the student performance or you can set both.\u00a0<\/p>

Setting the release condition based on Date and Time you can set when the content will be available to student and when from what date and time they will no longer be allowed to access the content.\u00a0<\/p>

Setting the release condition based on Performance. You can choose which student can access the content based on their engagement with other content, you can set the requirements of mark so student who have achieved a certain level can access the content.\u00a0<\/p>

Once you have created the rule, select save. The rule will appear on left side of the window you can create as many rules, and you can choose whether student can see the criteria or not. Showing the criteria helps students understand what is the reason for the restrictions.<\/p>
