Using rubrics on BlackBoard is intuitive and easy to create. The Gradebook Settings panel will open on the right-hand side. Scroll down to the section\u00a0<strong>Course Rubric<\/strong>. By default, the name of your rubric will be the date you open the rubric editor. You will need to edit the rubric name.\u00a0<\/p><p>You also have a Rubric Type. This option allows you to choose how you wish to mark using the rubric. To add a new column\/row, hover your mouse between the columns or rows, and a purple plus sign will appear. Select the plus sign, and this will add a new row or column. You can create unlimited columns and rows. This will delete the criteria. This is a great way to help create a simple rubric or to help generate ideas for your rubric. It is also a great way to save time from creating rubrics from scratch.
