Microsoft Education: Creating a Teams Meeting<\/h1>

Follow the steps below to create a Microsoft Teams meeting within Microsoft Education in Blackboard Ultra.<\/p>

Before creating a meeting, you will need to enable Microsoft Education on your module. This is a one-time setup process.<\/p>

  1. Click Books & Tools<\/strong>\u00a0in the Details & Actions<\/strong> menu.\u00a0<\/p>

  2. Select Microsoft Education<\/strong>.<\/p>

  3. Click Sync with Microsoft Education<\/strong>. If this option is not displayed, you can skip this step and proceed to the next one.<\/p>

  4. You will be presented with the Welcome to Microsoft Education<\/strong> screen. Click the Continue Setup<\/strong> button to proceed.<\/p>

  5. The Teams Meetings<\/strong> toggle is enabled by default. Click Done<\/strong> to finish the setup process.<\/p>

  6. Select Meetings<\/strong> from the Microsoft Education navigation menu.<\/p>

  7. Select the New Meeting<\/strong> button.<\/p>

  8. Enter the meeting title<\/strong>, date<\/strong>, and start time<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>

  9. Important:<\/strong> When adding participants, take care with the following options:<\/p>

    • Do not<\/strong> select \u201cAdd entire class\u201d <\/strong>or the “Keep class in sync” <\/strong>toggle \u2014 this will send an email invitation to all students.<\/li>
    • Instead, select “Attendee settings”<\/strong> and \u201cAllow anyone in the course to join\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Select Save<\/strong> to create the meeting.<\/p>

    • The meeting will now appear in the Upcoming<\/strong> tab.<\/p><\/li>

    • To enable attendance tracking:<\/p>

      1. Select the three dots (\u22ef)<\/strong> next to the meeting.<\/li>
      2. Copy the meeting link.<\/li>
      3. Paste the link into the Module Site calendar<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>

        Note:<\/strong> The person who creates the meeting must add the link to the module calendar.<\/p>
