Instead, you will submit all your\r\n            assignments through Blackboard Assignment, the submission tool that is already\r\n            built into the Blackboard courses you use every day.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            When does this affect me?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            This change applies from the start of Semester 2 of the 2026\/27 academic year.\r\n            You will be given clear guidance about how to submit work via Blackboard Assignment\r\n            before the change affects any of your modules.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:22px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Why is the University making this change?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Blackboard Assignment is already used for many modules at the University.\r\n            Moving to it for all modules means you will have a consistent experience -\r\n            one system, one place to submit, one place to find your feedback - rather than\r\n            switching between Turnitin and Blackboard depending on the module.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <h2 style=\"margin:0 0 14px 0;font-size:22px\">Submitting your work<\/h2>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            How will submitting work through Blackboard Assignment be different?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            The submission process is similar to Turnitin. You will still submit your work\r\n            online, receive confirmation that your submission has been received, and access\r\n            your feedback and grade in Blackboard. The main difference is that you will no\r\n            longer need to leave Blackboard to submit your work through a separate system.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Will my work still be checked for originality?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Yes. Blackboard Assignment includes an originality checking tool called SafeAssign.\r\n            It compares your submitted work against a database of sources and produces a\r\n            similarity report. Your tutors will use this report as part of the marking and\r\n            academic integrity process.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            What file types can I submit through Blackboard Assignment?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Blackboard Assignment accepts common file types, including Word documents,\r\n            PDFs, PowerPoint files, and text files.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:22px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Will there still be a submission deadline and a receipt?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Yes. Blackboard Assignment records the exact time of your submission and generates\r\n            a submission receipt, just as Turnitin does. Keep your receipt as proof of submission.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <h2 style=\"margin:0 0 14px 0;font-size:22px\">Your feedback and grades<\/h2>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            How will I receive feedback on my work?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Your tutor will provide feedback directly within Blackboard - this may include\r\n            written comments on your document, an overall feedback statement, and a completed\r\n            marking rubric. You will be notified when your feedback is available, and you can\r\n            access it through the same Blackboard course where you submitted.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Will I still be able to see inline comments on my work?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Yes. If there are\r\n            submissions or pieces of feedback you want to keep, we recommend downloading\r\n            them before the contract ends. We will remind you of this in good time with\r\n            guidance on how to download your work.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:22px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Will the University keep records of my past submissions?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            Yes. The University is required to retain records of student work for a defined\r\n            period after submission. We are making arrangements to archive relevant submissions\r\n            and feedback before the contract ends, particularly for final-year undergraduate\r\n            work and dissertations.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <h2 style=\"margin:0 0 14px 0;font-size:22px\">Academic Integrity<\/h2>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:14px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            Does this change affect the University's approach to academic integrity?\r\n        <\/summary>\r\n        <div style=\"padding:0 20px 20px 20px\">\r\n            No. The University's commitment to academic integrity is unchanged. Submitted work\r\n            will still be checked for originality through SafeAssign, and the same expectations\r\n            around your own work, referencing, and the use of generative AI tools apply regardless\r\n            of which submission system is used.\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/details>\r\n\r\n    <details style=\"background:#fff;border:1px solid #ddd;border-radius:8px;margin-bottom:22px;overflow:hidden\">\r\n        <summary style=\"cursor:pointer;font-weight:bold;font-size:17px;padding:18px 20px\">\r\n            I have a live academic query or misconduct case involving a Turnitin submission.
