Module AI Assistant<\/h2>\r\n

\r\n The Module AI Assistant is an AI-powered support tool available within selected Blackboard module sites.\r\n It helps students find, understand and engage with information contained in their module materials.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

What is the Module AI Assistant?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Unlike a general-purpose generative AI service, the Module AI Assistant is designed to work within\r\n the context of an individual Blackboard module. It searches the module materials available to it rather\r\n than the wider internet and uses those materials to generate its answers.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n When the AI Assistant provides an answer, it identifies the module sources from which the information\r\n has been drawn. This allows students to return to the original learning materials and check the\r\n information for themselves.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Think of the Module AI Assistant as a study assistant and intelligent search tool for a Blackboard module.<\/strong>\r\n It is intended to help students navigate and engage with their learning materials, not to replace teaching,\r\n academic judgement or the original module resources.\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n
