ING, working with the East London Business Alliance (ELBA), are offering a unique programme designed for outstanding graduates interested in a career in financial services.
Seventeen 9-month, quality, paid internships are available in a range of departments including the front office
The opportunities are open to both people who will have graduated by October 2023 and to undergraduates on an industry year.
Training
We want our graduates to shine so we start by providing them with 2 weeks’ paid training, valued at £2,000. This promotes the essential skills, attributes and behaviours valued by employers as well as providing a basic understanding of the role of a wholesale bank.
As part of the internship programme you will be required to participate in organising charity and social events taking place in the bank as a team. You will also get support in learning about Wholesale Banking and laying the foundations for a professional future career.
Person requirements
All of our ING interns need to display the following skills:
- Excellent communication including verbal, written and presentation.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Good time management – able to execute tasks independently, plan and prioritise workload.
- Self-starter, able to problem solve and show drive and initiative.
- Keen to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Good PC skills, including a working knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook
- Sensitive to the needs of others and committed to equal opportunities.
- Willingness to be a role model for your community.
