Bird Feeders

New Cavendish Street now has two new bird feeders. They have been installed to encourage small birds to visit the internal space that we know as the Paviliion. The bird feeders are attached to the large planter and near to some foliage to offer some kind of natural habitat. We chose the internal space at NCS to place the feeders because we hoped that students and staff would see the birds and enjoy the view. We are trying peanuts as feed, but might change this to a more seed based feed in future, if we think it might attract different bids. It would be wonderful to see sparrows back in London, they have all up and left. The Pavilion area also has two sedum roofs that might help bring in bird life. There is also two nesting boxes hidden away in the hope that we can attract some Black Redstarts.
