Coram helps more than a million vulnerable children and young people every year. Since the charity was started 275 years ago, Coram has been helping children and young people develop their skills and emotional health, finding them permanent loving homes and upholding their rights, creating a change that lasts a lifetime.
Coram is running a Young Citizens’ network, which is a new voluntary programme for migrant young people aged 16-25, run by Coram with funding from The Queen’s Trust.
The organisation is looking for young people who are passionate about using their experiences of making a life in this country, to work with and represent the views of more children and young people who want to do the same.
In this role you will:
- Come together to shape projects tackling some of the big issues facing migrant young people today
- Use your experiences to inspire and empower children and young people
- Take part in interactive workshops to share your ideas, thoughts and opinions based on your experiences
- Lead research and workshops with other migrant children and young people
- Co-produce resources for schools to increase cohesion and inclusion
- Speak on a public platform e.g. at events and on film
