As we know, volunteering broadens our horizons, improves our skills necessary to be successful in the future, as well as being therapeutic and building our emotional intelligence skills.
Therefore, do not forget the Volunteering/Work Experience Fair 2017 is being held in the Regent Campus on the 22nd of February. The fair starts at 12.30 pm and runs until 3 pm. The organisations that will be attending the fair are the ones that will interest students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages and Law, however, students from other faculties may also find charities they want to volunteer with. This fair is open to all, so whether you are looking for volunteering specifically pertinent to your course and future career direction or just following your passion come along and see what opportunities await.
Read our Volunteering/Work Experience Fair booklet to familiarise yourself with the attending charities, what they offer and how you can get involved. With 20 charities attending it will be a shame to miss out on this opportunity to network, meet people and gain a volunteering opportunity that can help you get those Graduate Attributes, helping your personal and professional development.
Please book in, and we hope to see you all on the 22nd of February!
P.S. If you want to find out how volunteering can help you achieve your graduate attributes and help prepare you for the real world of work, while helping your community and making new friends all the while, then read Volunteering Stories of your fellow students!
