The University of Westminster’s Safety, Health and Wellbeing Team is holding the annual Wellbeing Day event for 2019 on Thursday, the 7th of February, at the Learning Platform, Marylebone Campus. The event will take place from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm.
The day will be a chance to learn more about wellbeing as part of a healthy lifestyle. Come along and get involved with some of the great initiatives on offer
British Heart Foundation will be at the event. With the assistance of 4 health practitioners, staff will be taken around 3 zones in 1 hour slots:
– Zone 1 ‘Know your heart age’
– Zone 2 ‘ Eat well and be active’
– Zone 3 ‘Think well’

Other teams from the University will also be there – such as the University’s Gym team , as well our Sustainability and CSR team . And the popular smoothie bike will be making an appearance!! The Unions will be represented at the event, handing out information and details on what they can offer.
The University’s caterer’s, Aramark, will be handing out recipe cards and literature on the important of a balanced diet, as well as offering samples to attendees.
Eye Care Plans, the University’s eye care provider, will be there to discuss the provision and hand out information and freebies.
The Organisational Development Team will be providing details on the University’s coaching scheme, and the opportunity to experience a ‘listening booth’.
Mind UK will also be at the Event. For further information, Mind UK are currently running a campaign on exploring 5 steps that can help develop wellbeing:
