The past two decades have witnessed an upsurge in the building of museums on Chinese diaspora both in the PRC and among the diasporic Chinese communities. Museums in different places often adopt different approaches to represent diasporic Chinese communities and histories. So far, there has been little interaction, let alone cooperation, between museums on Chinese diaspora set up in China and in diasporic Chinese communities; museums established by the diasporic Chinese have also developed largely in isolation.<\/strong><\/p>

The aim of this research project is to develop a global network of diasporic Chinese museums as a platform that initiates and stimulates intellectual dialogues and professional collaborations between museums in this field across geographic and national boundaries. It brings together museum curators, scholars, policy makers, and other stakeholders in this emerging cultural sphere to exchange experiences and share insights into collecting, curating and exhibition practice and public engagement, and to generate impact on public policymaking and interdisciplinary research of migration and museum in the Chinese context and beyond.<\/strong><\/p>

The project is led by Dr. Cangbai Wang<\/a> (University of Westminster) and Dr. Yow Cheun Hoe<\/a> (Nanyang Technological University) together with Dr. Huimei Zhang<\/a> (Nanyang Technological University). The project network includes UK and international participants of diverse backgrounds, many of whom work in the field of diasporic Chinese museum and heritage industry.<\/strong><\/p>

\u5728\u8fc7\u53bb\u7684\u4e8c\u5341\u5e74\u91cc\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u548c\u6d77\u5916\u534e\u4eba\u793e\u533a\u90fd\u89c1\u8bc1\u4e86\u4ee5\u534e\u4fa8\u534e\u4eba\u4e3a\u4e3b\u9898\u7684\u535a\u7269\u9986\u5efa\u8bbe\u70ed\u6f6e\u3002\u4e0d\u540c\u5730\u65b9\u7684\u535a\u7269\u9986\u5f80\u5f80\u91c7\u7528\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u6765\u8868\u73b0\u6563\u5c45\u7684\u534e\u4eba\u793e\u533a\u548c\u5386\u53f2\u3002 \u5230\u76ee\u524d\u4e3a\u6b62\uff0c\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u8bbe\u7acb\u7684\u534e\u4fa8\u534e\u4eba\u535a\u7269\u9986\u4e0e\u6563\u5c45\u534e\u4eba\u793e\u533a\u6240\u5efa\u7acb\u7684\u535a\u7269\u9986\u4e4b\u95f4\u9c9c\u6709\u4e92\u52a8\u548c\u5408\u4f5c\uff1b\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u7684\u534e\u4fa8\u534e\u4eba\u6240\u5efa\u7acb\u7684\u535a\u7269\u9986\u4e5f\u57fa\u672c\u4e0a\u662f\u5b64\u7acb\u5730\u53d1\u5c55\u8d77\u6765\u7684\u3002<\/span><\/p>

\u8be5\u7814\u7a76\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u5efa\u7acb\u4e00\u4e2a\u5168\u7403\u534e\u4fa8\u534e\u4eba\u535a\u7269\u9986\u7f51\u7edc\uff0c\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u5b66\u672f\u5e73\u53f0\uff0c\u53d1\u8d77\u548c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u8be5\u9886\u57df\u535a\u7269\u9986\u4e4b\u95f4\u8de8\u8d8a\u5730\u57df\u548c\u8de8\u56fd\u754c\u7684\u77e5\u8bc6\u5bf9\u8bdd\u548c\u4e13\u4e1a\u5408\u4f5c\u3002\u5b83\u65e8\u5728\u6c47\u96c6\u8fd9\u4e2a\u65b0\u5174\u6587\u5316\u9886\u57df\u7684\u535a\u7269\u9986\u7b56\u5c55\u4eba\u3001\u5b66\u8005\u3001\u653f\u7b56\u5236\u5b9a\u8005\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u5229\u76ca\u76f8\u5173\u8005\uff0c\u5c31\u6536\u85cf\u3001\u7b56\u5c55\u548c\u5c55\u89c8\u5b9e\u8df5\u4ee5\u53ca\u516c\u4f17\u53c2\u4e0e\u4ea4\u6d41\u7ecf\u9a8c\u548c\u5206\u4eab\u89c1\u89e3\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u6563\u5c45\u534e\u4eba\u53ca\u5176\u4ed6\u79fb\u6c11\u7fa4\u4f53\u548c\u535a\u7269\u9986\u7684\u516c\u5171\u653f\u7b56\u5236\u5b9a\u548c\u8de8\u5b66\u79d1\u7814\u7a76\u4ea7\u751f\u5f71\u54cd\u3002<\/span>

\u8be5\u7814\u7a76\u7531\u738b\u82cd\u67cf\u535a\u58eb\uff08\u82f1\u56fd\u5a01\u65af\u654f\u65af\u7279\u5927\u5b66\uff09\u3001\u6e38\u4fca\u8c6a\u535a\u58eb\uff08\u65b0\u52a0\u5761\u5357\u6d0b\u7406\u5de5\u5927\u5b66\uff09\u548c\u5f20\u6167\u6885\u535a\u58eb \uff08\u65b0\u52a0\u5761\u5357\u6d0b\u7406\u5de5\u5927\u5b66\uff09\u9886\u5bfc\uff0c\u53c2\u52a0\u8005\u5305\u62ec\u6765\u81ea\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u5177\u6709\u4e0d\u540c\u80cc\u666f\u7684\u534e\u4fa8\u534e\u4eba\u535a\u7269\u9986\u548c\u6587\u5316\u9057\u4ea7\u9886\u57df\u7684\u4e13\u5bb6\u5b66\u8005\u3002<\/span><\/p>
