Cumberland Lodge, Christmas Student Conference<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Graduate School is pleased to offer two fully-funded places at this conference. It takes place from Wednesday 17th December \u2013 Friday 19th December 2025<\/strong>. This year’s theme is: Beyond Borders: The role of festivals in supporting social cohesion<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are now open. Please complete the application form<\/a> and return it to graduateschool@westminster.ac.uk<\/a> by Tuesday 4 November, 5pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn a world where polarisation and division often dominate headlines, how can we rediscover connections across faiths and cultures?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Cumberland Lodge Christmas Conference brings together students, experts and facilitators to explore: What does social cohesion look like in a diverse society? How can we celebrate our differences without creating distance? And how might our traditions inspire a future of coexistence, hope, and social cohesion?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for discussion and celebration as we seek to move beyond<\/p>\n\n\n\n

social and cultural borders. The programme will also include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 A Christmas carol service at Cumberland Lodge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 A guided winter trail through Windsor Great Park (weather permitting)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 A traditional Christmas dinner, including a visit from Father Christmas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Festive evening games and karaoke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Opportunities to network and meet students from around the world <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event includes two nights\u2019 accommodation, along with all activities and meals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Graduate School is offering two funded places to doctoral researchers for conference attendance in single occupancy rooms with en-suite facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completed application forms should be emailed to Graduate School graduateschool@westminster.ac.uk<\/a> by 11:59pm on Tuesday 4 November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Successful applicants will be randomly selected. Each applicant will be assigned a unique number, and selection will be made by drawing numbers from a bag.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmation of your place on the conference or otherwise will be notified to you as soon as possible after the deadline.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cumberland Lodge<\/a> is a historic 17th<\/sup> century venue, beautifully decorated and furnished and offering spaces and activities for your free time plus excellent dining (all food is included in your stay). It is set in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Great Windsor Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
