It will enable us to manage scope, underpin our scalable approach to ensure the delivery of the objectives of Enact. This involves the concept of &#8216;projects&#8217; as case studies.<\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h3><b>What does\u00a0\u2018project\u2019\u00a0mean in the context of the Enact Pathfinder Programme?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Any body of work that has thematic and\/or methodological interconnections between the component parts (which are digital or could be digitised) that includes any materials created or collected that could be shared \u2013 such as the examples highlighted in the graph below.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We are interested in the files, the context and narrative, the types of contributors involved (which could include creators,\u00a0collaborators\u00a0and\/or participants), the rights and\/or licenses that might have already been applied, how any ethical approval has been recorded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_525\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-525\" style=\"width: 597px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Holly Ranger\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/enact\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/161\/2026\/03\/PR-Voices-survey-material-types.jpeg\" alt=\"Digital research materials examples in a column graph based on the findings of the PR Voices project\" width=\"597\" height=\"379\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-525\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Digital research materials graph from PR Voices Project findings presented by Holly Ranger at International Digital Curation Conference 2022 presentation slides available in Zenodo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>What these individual components might look?<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/westminsterresearch.westminster.ac.uk\/download\/889a5fbbbd861ac659648772d8f98185684645caac28f94f262c1728974419b0\/1806867\/PRVoices%20Basic%20Portfolio.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PR Voices simple portfolio<\/a> provides a starting point for a view of the components one might include to bring together the different elements.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The role of the Pathfinders within\u00a0Enact?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Becoming a Pathfinder will enable participants to share their knowledge of creative practice and proactively contribute to the development of Enact. Enact Pathfinder project team representatives will actively participate in different components of the Enact: PR Voices and SPARKLE Phase 2 project. This will include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>Bringing knowledge and\/or experience of creating, collecting and or sharing creative practice research.<\/li>\n<li>Recognising both academic practice researchers <strong>and<\/strong> experts who work with practice researchers to help them to share their research process\/outputs\/data. These expert areas could include (but are not limited to) repositories, research data, curation, metadata, open standards, licensing, intellectual property, rights, copyright, research management or impact.<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/li>\n<li>Participating in workshops, focus groups, user acceptance testing of the Enact Repository Minimum Viable Product as it is built (pilot and early adopter pathfinders).<\/li>\n<li>Testing the Enact Repository out\u2014as a companion to practice research as it takes place (all pathfinders)<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the creation of Enact documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing\u00a0to other parts of the programme such as the development of a skills and training programme.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- \/wp:list --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What types of Pathfinders are there?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Our Pathfinder Programme is comprised of three phases:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Phase 1: Enact Pathfinder Pilots (the Enact consortium) (2026) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Projects from the Enact team&#8217;s institutions will contribute to the development of the Enact licensing framework, the review of the PR Voices metadata schema and the build of the Enact: Core Repository minimum viable product, input into documentation and the development of the training and skills programme.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Phase 2: Enact Pathfinder Early Adopters (2026) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Early Adopter projects will bring a project that has significant amounts of extant material which should include shareable assets, and there should be access to at least some of those who contributed to the project. They will contribute to the review of \u00a0the PR Voices metadata schema and the build of the Enact: Core Repository minimum viable product, input into development of documentation and plans for skills development and training. They will continue to contribute as mutually agreed on an ongoing basis for the remainder of the project.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Phase 3: Enact Pathfinder Challengers (2027-2028) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enact Pathfinder Challengers will bring fresh eyes to the Enact Repository. Their experience will see them use the Enact Repository alongside live projects, and work with the Enact team to help us understand (in real time) how they use the Enact Repository while they are undertaking their practice research.
