It marks a key milestone in the repository software development part of the project.

The presentation explores how Enact is addressing the unique challenges faced by practice researchers, including the need to capture creative processes, contextual information, collaborations, relationships between works and diverse research outputs. Built on the open-source Samvera Hyku platform, Enact aims to deliver a more flexible, researcher-centred repository experience that better reflects the realities of practice research.

The session includes a demonstration of key repository features, a reflection on the software development journey thus far and the use of a pathfinder project approach to enable co-design with practice researchers and domain experts such as repository and research data managers. It highlights the collaboration between researchers, repository specialists and open-source technology developers, demonstrating how cross-sector partnerships are shaping the future of practice research infrastructure.

The Enact project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and brings together expertise from Queen Mary University of London, University of the Arts London, University of Westminster, University of Leeds, CoSector (University of London) and Notch8.

The recording is available here.

The recording of Enact – Building an Open Source Repository for Practice Research presented at the Apereo Foundation Microconference, is now available to watch.
