EDI in Practice: Revisiting The Effective Language Teacher Resource Pack

Building on the ideas introduced in Session 1, this session focuses on practical application. You will revisit key elements of The Effective Language Teacher resource pack and reflect on the pre-training observation task. Through guided activities and real classroom scenarios, you will examine how EDI principles can be applied in everyday language teaching. The emphasis is on reflection, problem-solving, and identifying inclusive strategies that can be embedded immediately into your teaching practice.

By the end of this session, you will:
• Apply EDI principles to classroom scenarios using tasks and materials from The Effective Language Teacher resource pack.
• Analyse your pre-training observation task to identify strengths and areas for developing more inclusive practice.
• Use practical strategies from the resource pack to plan or adapt activities that support equitable participation and learning for all students.
