Read her top five tips for preparing for Clearing as an international student.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Find out what courses are available<\/h3>\n<p>The University of Westminster offers a wide range of courses that are available through Clearing. One of the quickest\u00a0ways to find out is by visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.ac.uk\/courses\/clearing-2016\/courses-in-clearing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clearing\u00a0website<\/a>.\u00a0The list of available courses will be\u00a0updated regularly, so it is important to\u00a0continue checking the site throughout the week.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Ask as many questions as you can<\/h3>\n<p>On the results day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.ac.uk\/courses\/clearing-2016\/contact-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">phone lines will be open from 8am till 7pm<\/a> and will be managed by current students<br \/>\nand advisers who will be able to answer all your questions. This may include questions about the<br \/>\ncourse you are interested in, university life, student experience and other opportunities that we offer<br \/>\nduring your time at Westminster.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Questions you will\u00a0be asked<\/h3>\n<p>Although the process of Clearing is quick and easy, it is\u00a0still useful to prepare for the phone call and for any\u00a0questions you may be asked. For example, one of the first questions you will\u00a0be asked is for your UCAS ID (if you have one) and personal details so it is\u00a0important to have all the\u00a0required information ready to hand. Prepare beforehand<\/h3>\n<p>You may want to find out more about the course you are interested in and what you would be<br \/>\nexpected to know. Further information about the course you are interested in and module options<br \/>\nare available on\u00a0the University\u2019s website. You may also wish to\u00a0visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/UniOfWestminster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>\u00a0to learn more about the faculty or department\u00a0you are interested in. For example, here is more information about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RkzaLMtToOw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of English, Linguistics and Cultural Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Use Social media<\/h3>\n<p>The University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UniWestminster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/UniOfWestminster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> accounts will be updated regularly with information about<br \/>\nClearing. You are also\u00a0encouraged to send us any questions if you have any queries about the whole process.
