[side note: I had personal things happening for uni so that didn’t help] But, reviewing my Instagram feed after each day, I was amazed at the talent we have and so excited for the trends to be seen all over the high street. So, here are my top picks and highlights from London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017!

Burberry’s show served as the epitome of British fashion. Not only did they join the military trend put in place by Tommy Hilfiger, but they spun it with an iconic British twist. With blues and reds serving as palette colours, and a mix of prints, I loved every piece of the collection.

Versus has such an edgy high street vibe in contrast to Versace’s main brand, and it fits perfectly into the London scene. Khaki is always a great colour for all seasons, and using the bomber jacket, it will be so easy to follow this trend. However, I love the pop of colour in the seemingly dark collection. I really want this orange hue to hit off, its such a beautiful shade and goes perfectly with khaki.

Topshop Unique always seems to play it safe with their collections, but they took me by surprise this year with their 90’s themed pieces. Big hair, edgy shoes, and sheer panels were the driving force behind some of the main pieces. I love the two dresses, I think they stand out from your average LBD. I can also see the waistcoat dress trend come back. I also love the full pink outfit. I have seen that a lot recently and can’t wait to try it out.

With striking prints and hypnotic patterns, Mary Katrantzou gave the world some madness. These two pieces were, in my opinion, the best from the collection. Tribal patterns and images rocked her dresses and I would love to see Lupita Nyong’o rock the purple dress, and someone like Kate Middleton wear the second.

Temperley London has alway been one of my favourite labels for dreamy and floaty gowns. And this years collection did not disappoint. Bohemian shapes and prints, perfect for summer, took over and I (momentarily) forgot about the gloominess outside. There were too many beautiful pieces to choose to show you, but these were my favourites. I love the colours and prints and shapes, I have no bad words.

Henry Holland is known for his quirky sense of style. For some people it works, others it doesn’t, but he does it so well that it’s just enough for everyone. His collection, again, had a vintage vibe, possibly 80’s. Sheer fabric with stitching, grunge floral, and statement tshirts screamed teenage dream and I love it!

What were your favourite parts of London Fashion Week?

Image credits: Jeff Spicer/Getty Images, Justin Tallis/AFP/Getty Images

Read this post and more stories on Nicole’s personal blog

London Fashion Week was so jam packed that I could hardly keep up!
