But sadly the high price to access often puts many musicians like myself off. However, what if you could rent and access this equipment to create your music at any time? Well the good news is that, studying a music course at Westminster gives you this opportunity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>About Me<\/h2>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">My name is Haodong Wang, I am both a singer and a music Producer. Back in China, I have been working in the music industry creating advertising music for <\/span><a style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" href=\"https:\/\/m.weibo.cn\/status\/4716812530357737#&amp;video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gucci<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">, CK,\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" href=\"https:\/\/m.weibo.cn\/1862822952\/4780940599493916\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Basto<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">\u00a0and other major brands. I also composed music for fashion show designers such as Zhichen, and recorded theme songs for various TV series and movies. I\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">was recently honored with the &#8220;Digitaling Award&#8221; in China for my work.<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">\u00a0As a performance a singer, I appeared in various music variety shows of Jiangsu Satellite TV and Oriental TV in China.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Now I am onto a new challenge, and Yes I&#8217;m excited! it&#8217;s going to be an amazing musical journey studying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.ac.uk\/music-courses\/2023-24\/september\/full-time\/audio-production-ma\">Audio Production MA<\/a> at Westminster utilizing all the fantastic professional music equipment and facilities at the University.<\/p>\n<h2>Recording and Production Studios<\/h2>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/2023\/01\/District-9-production-studio_Harrow.png\" alt=\"District 9 production studio_Harrow\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One notable facility I am excited to use is the large recording studio,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.matterport.com\/show\/?m=x3sakoGqSpt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">District 9<\/a>, that includes access to quality music equipment ideal for students to play music and showcase their talents. There are many more impressive pieces of music equipment I&#8217;m looking forward to using during my studies, such as:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7.1 stereo\uff08powered by PMC<\/li>\n<li>YAMAHA<br \/>48-track SSL console<\/li>\n<li>More than enough studios<\/li>\n<li>Rehearsal rooms<\/li>\n<li>Synthesizer rooms stocked with basic equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In addition to a recording and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.matterport.com\/show\/?m=zjK1nwRhvxd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">production studio<\/a>, access to professional recording equipment is also essential as an aspiring professional musician. Therefore, the next part of our journey takes us to the microphones.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Microphones<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/2023\/01\/Neumann-microphone_500x667.jpg\" alt=\"Neumann microphone\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The legendary Neumann, from the renowned and much admired German company. The industry standard U87 comes from this brand. You can see the sound of U87 in professional recording studios all over the world. But, it is also worth highlighting that you can use the most authentic Neumann U47 at the University of Westminster too! This classic microphone has been reproduced by numerous manufacturers and can also become a treasure in your hands when studying here. This is welcome news for all my fellow musician friends from all over the world who may be worried about the transportation of their musical instruments! In addition, each studio is equipped with all kinds of professional hardware including compression, EQ, reverb, and interface. It&#8217;s up to you all to explore! In addition to music production and the strong media department, Westminster is also very professional in the production of audio across various creative industries taught at the University&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.ac.uk\/about-us\/visit-us\/harrow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harrow ca<\/a>mpus.
