One of the aims of the project is to review the work done by the e by the University of Westminster to develop the Haplo (Cayuse) open source repository to capture all research in one repository (WestminsterResearch<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work has included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. the development of the portfolio (or collection) template and enhanced portfolio template to capture and display contextual images alongside the narrative which articulates the underpinning research.<\/li>
  2. the review of and update to non-text templates to better reflect non-traditional research outputs which underpin the portfolio record.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This work, led by the Scholarly Communications team, was done in close collaboration with the Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM)<\/a> and the Making and Practice Research Group<\/a> (formerly the Experimental Practice Research Group<\/a>) at the University of Westminster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The PRVoices project’s approach to re-using existing technology and standards has seen technology partners Cayuse set up a test system based on that developed at the University of Westminster to allow us to iterate changes based on community feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A counterpart piece of work being carried out is to review and illustrate the Haplo (Cayuse) open source repository schema which will underpin the practice research prototype repository. This will inform 1) testing of this work against the British Library\u2019s Shared Research Repository for cultural and heritage organisations <\/a>and 2) work in relation to the metadata, persistent identifier (PIDs) and taxonomy landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our final piece of research work is to gather feedback on the software we have developed at Westminster and the PRVoices test repository system user interface. As such we invite you to watch a video (15 mins) and fill in a brief survey (5-10 mins) to gather your thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
