The days of the iconic office tower are numbered, according to a new survey of developers, occupiers and industry bodies. Demand for office space will rise in the next 20 years, but the size of offices will decrease, says the survey by multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy hurleypalmerflatt. The result will be for fewer large, speculative office developments and more incremental development, as noted by 64 per cent of respondents.
