Acclāro Advisory has launched the first annual Sustainable FM Index. Developed as a framework, this Index provides a robust and transparent assessment to compare FM providers within the UK market. The Index is intended to stimulate a positive change within the sector, and raise the performance and delivery of sustainability by showcasing achievement and highlighting excellence. The Index was developed with the support of University of Reading and Workplace Law.

It is a downloaded Spreadsheet, in Microsoft Excel format, containing customisable tables allowing easy creation of the Project Roles Table, Design Responsibility Matrix and Multidisciplinary Schedules of Services. The objectives of this British Standard are to provide: standardised rules and a methodology for the life cycle costing (LCC) of maintenance during in use phases that fully integrate the process of creating and implementing two plans: maintain and renewal; guidance on how to evaluate and prioritize the maintenance works when carrying out budgeting and funding scenarios; and guidance on the implement stage of LCC management of maintenance works.
