These situations have often felt deeply unfair, leaving her with a sense of helplessness. She is committed to joining societies and initiatives that advocate for equality. She is part of the Pedagogies for Social Justice project and the Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Voices project at the university, both of which aim to create more inclusive and empowering environments. She is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University. Increasingly persuaded that the route out of racism and classism begins with a radical increase in critical consciousness of coloniality Deanne\\u2019s work focuses on revealing how coloniality operates and affects psychic life. Currently a full-time staff member of the University of Westminster Students&#8217; Union as the Academic Representation Coordinator for over a year, Cheyenne continues her mission. Her role involves training academic reps in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and integrating EDI principles into the SU&#8217;s academic representation functions. She passionately enjoys her EDI lead role in the School of Management and Marketing, where she is a Senior Lecturer in Management. Naseem has always had a love of learning and developing, and this was severely hindered and disrupted by the formal education system. As such Naseem has always strived to provide educational experiences which lead to personal, professional, and therefore societal transformation. As a mature-aged disabled student who entered higher education through a foundation year, she understands firsthand the extra challenges disabled students can face in this space. Lara has been engaged in student partnerships to impact pedagogical practices, with the aim of creating a more socially just learning environment. She is dedicated to amplifying the voices of disabled students to encourage positive, meaningful change towards equitable opportunities in higher education. Lara\\u2019s experiences at university have helped her co-deliver workshops on how student partnerships can help build an equitable and decolonised life sciences curriculum. In addition to her studies, Lara works part-time as an inpatient Nursing Assistant in the NHS, which has furthered her passion for addressing healthcare inequities. Her academic focus is on approaching fashion through a decolonial lens to challenge and disrupt its Anglo-Eurocentric bias. As a person of Tibetan heritage, born in Britain, she feels at a crossroads; born in the land of the Empire, but belonging to a country facing the brunt of neo-colonialism with a history entwined in Britain\\u2019s colonial power. By drawing on her lived experiences and interests in decolonial and black feminist thought, she is now focusing her research on non-Western futurisms and their potential to dismantle the white bias in fashion. She believes that the histories and cultural differences do not create a divide but can actually facilitate bringing everyone together to build a better functioning and more tolerant world. Through her work she hopes to bring forth the stories of Asian communities, their sufferings and how marginalisation has changed the course of their lives in order to promote a deeper understanding of the intricacies of their history and culture. Coming from India and being a former student of Literature, she understands the power of narration and the importance of stories in creating an environment that is conducive to growth and positive change. Since embarking on her studies in Biomedical Science, Esra has become captivated by the brain\\u2019s profound role in shaping who we are. With a deep interest in neuroscience and mental health, she is fascinated by how the brain\\u2019s complex networks influence behavior, emotions, and identity. As a Canadian of mixed heritage (half Arab and half Indian), her ethnicities inform many of her own experiences, especially that of belonging, identity politics, and identity creation.
