This can range from autism, to blind people, to deaf people and to people in wheel chairs. All the services provided at the centre (except for horse riding) is free to the public. Bernice Goff-Collings gets to know the people who work, volunteer and visit the centre and gets an insight in to what Heathrow Special Needs Centre does.

Long Synopsis: Heathrow Special Needs Centre first opened in 1985. Since then is has done so much to help people with disabilities, however, the centre could increase its user capacity and not be overcrowded. People who get to know the people at the centre beforehand may wish to visit, with the help of this audio documentary. Everyone knows someone who has a disability, so people out there will benefit from Heathrow Special Needs Centre, even parents and carers of someone with a disability.

With the aid of interviews from a variety of volunteers and staff at the centre, listeners can get to know people who help run the centre, before physically going there. An audio tour will also help people get to know what facilities and activities are available at the centre.

Horse riding, gardening and animal care are just a few things that the centre can provide for people with disabilities. With the help of funding, more can be provided for people who may not have access to much outside of the centre.

An Artefact Which Confirms Commission

Email confirming commission for Heathrow Special Needs Centre.

Cue

Heathrow Special Needs Centre provides facilities and activities for young people and adults with special needs.
