She is pictured with the Polytechnic Harriers' Arthur Winter, organiser of the Marathon.  The Marathon was held annually between 1909-1996 and competitors ran from Windsor Castle to Central London. The Queen agreed to continue as the institution's patron. Harrow College of Higher Education merged with the Polytechnic of Central London in 1990 adding the Harrow campus to the Polytechnic's estate.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><div class=\"swiper-slide\" role=\"group\" aria-roledescription=\"slide\" aria-label=\"12 of 14\"><figure class=\"swiper-slide-inner\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"swiper-slide-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/recordsandarchives\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2022\/09\/1995-Queen-Network-Spring-1996-768x525.jpg\" alt=\"1995 Queen Network Spring 1996\" \/><figcaption class=\"elementor-image-carousel-caption\">The Harrow Campus included new facilities for media, arts and design subjects which were put to good use for the Queen's visit in 1995.  The alumni magazine Network published an article about the visit.
