HM King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, has visited the University\/Polytechnic on four occasions and has been to all campuses.\u00a0<\/p>

The Prince’s first visit was to the Marylebone campus in 1980. In 1996, the Prince of Wales attended a professorial lecture at Regent Street. In 1999, he opened the Polyclinic at New Cavendish Street, and most recently he visited Harrow to attend rehearsals for the Prince’s Trust Urban Music Festival in 2004.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In 1980, the Prince of Wales made his first visit to PCL. He visited the Marylebone campus for a CNAA Engineering Board one-day conference on Engineering degree courses. Prince Charles was President of the Council for National Academic Awards, the degree awarding body for polytechnics, from 1976-1989.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

Since it opened in 1970, the Marylebone campus has been home to the Business School and Architecture and Built Environment subjects. Prince Charles engaged \nstudents in discussion during his visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

In 1999, Prince Charles opened the Polyclinic, a centre for complementary medicine, at the Cavendish campus. An article published in the staff newsletter, The Clarion, detailed the prince's support of the types of treatments offered by the clinic.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

During his visit, Prince Charles experienced the work of the Polyclinic first hand. The clinic is still in existence today offering the public acupunture, Chinese herbal medicine and Western herbal medicine.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

In May 2004, Prince Charles visited the Harrow campus to attend rehearsals for the Prince's Trust Urban Music Festival. The visit and festival came at the end of Urban Sounds Live, a one week course offered by the Prince's Trust and hosted by the University to motivate and engage 18-25-year-olds through urban music. Those on the course performed for the prince.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>
